I’m so so excited to share the DIY Communication Journal with you, dear Parents!

We spend hours together under the same roof, but somehow, the art of having a meaningful conversation has been lost. We can blame it on all the tech gadgets and video games and Tv shows we want, but the responsibility of connecting doesn’t go away.

This has been my routine with my child since last 3 years and I see remarkable difference in the way he is aware about the wok he does and the way he deals with his emotions. The journal, which Dhwan and I were writing was totally made by us and that’s where we felt very connected since it was , we who made it. My child seemed to really enjoy doing it. That especially showed if there was a day I forgot to have the journal ready when he got home, as he would bring the journal to me as a reminder! Basically the journal has a couple of questions each day for him to answer (and he can ask us questions too).

This journal is a “trading” journal. I may write in it one day and then leave it on to my son to fill in. He may get to it that day…or can even take a few days to write back. It can be about anything. I want these to be safe spots for my child to be able to share openly

This way, you can create treasures about the lines of communication that can open up while you start writing the journal with your child. You can doodle, color, write or even just talk. This journal is sure to get you and your CONNECTING like never before. It will allow you and your kids a fun way to interact beyond asking what they did in school and what they want for dinner. Making time to sit and talk about the questions answered by parent AND child (yes, mom or dad do have their own page to answer on) will make this simple book a treasured keepsake.
